Whatsapp Business Migration from iPhone to Android for Free

This article will help you migrate your Whatsapp BUSINESS chat data (alongwith Media) from iPhone to Android for Free.

Step 1 - Move data from Whatsapp business to Whatsapp

Time required: 5 Mins

  • Install whatsapp on your iPhone.
  • Proceed using the same number as that of Whatsapp business in that iPhone.
  • The system will give a warning that business settings will be lost. Here you need to agree to losing your catalogues and auto replies. You can add them back later manually when the migration to android is completed.
  • Once the process is completed, check the data in Whatsapp and Uninstall (Remove) Whatsapp Business App from your iPhone and proceed to step 2.
Step 2 - Migrate data from iPhone to Android

Time required: 1-2 Hours (Depends on data size.)
  • Take a backup of Whatsapp by going to Settings > Chat > Chat Backup. This is to ensure that all data is safe and you have a recovery option in case anything goes wrong.
  • Install Whatsapp in the Android phone.
  • Proceed with the same number used in iPhone Whatsapp.
  • When it comes to restoring data during activation of whatsapp in Android, connect the cable between iPhone and Android.
  • In iPhone, go to WhatsApp > Settings > Export Chat to Android
  • Proceed as per the instructions. You will have to approve the process on both phones.
  • Wait for the transfer to complete.
  • proceed for the remaing part of activation in Android after the transfer is completed.
  • Check the migrated data, and if everything is ok, disconnect the cable.
  • Note: Media sent from your number to yourself in the chats will not be transferred. All other chats and media will be transfered. Videos will be transferred only if you have included them in the backup.
  • You can uninstall WhatsApp in iPhone OR put the iPhone in Airplane mode if you want to keep a copy of WhatsApp with complete data in iPhone for some time. It will be accessible as long as the iPhone is in Flight Mode.
  • Proceed to Step 3.
Step 3 - Move data from Whatsapp to Whatsapp Business.

Time required: 5 Mins
  • Install Whatsapp Business in your Android.
  • Use the same number to proceed with the activation.
  • After activation, all chats and media will be transferred to it automatically.
  • Uninstall Whatsapp from Android. proceed to Step 4.
Step 4 - Saying thanks.

Time required: 5 Mins

Improvements & Fixes - Oct 2022

 The following improvements & fixes have been done in Oct 2022 Oct 01 Long alternate mobile number was blocking the student edit. Restriction imposed to allow 10 digit mobile and alternate mobile The StepIN was not working after updating the Employee Code. Allowed Length of City Name for KV increased from 15 to 25 characters Enrollment Report (Format-2) was including inactive students too. The issue has been fixed. Oct 02 Oral removed from Classes VI-VIII and weightage adjusted accordingly. No action required from KVs as output will be modfied automatically.
